Statement of Policy
The mission of the volunteer Board of Directors, Operations Committee, and employed staff is to provide a wholesome, safe family environment and a recreational atmosphere for our members and guests. Every effort has been made to maintain a personal sensitivity to accommodate the needs and wishes of our members while providing fairness to all. Although certain regulations may seem restrictive to some, we hope that you will accept them in the spirit in which they have been developed by our board of directors. Safety is our first concern, without compromise. We ask that you oblige our trained young adult staff whose job it is to provide the safe and friendly atmosphere, which we have come to expect at North Harford Swim Club. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with the operation of the club, the staff, or have questions or suggestions, we welcome the opportunity to discuss them with you.

PRESIDENT
My husband, Rob, and I have resided in Street since 2002, but we both grew up in Jarrettsville. Along with our son and daughter, we have been members of North Harford Swim Club since 2013. I grew up spending my summers at NHSC starting at age 4, and later worked at the club from age 14 to 26. I’ve always loved NHSC, and it’s been incredibly special to see that love passed down to our children.
On their way to becoming adults, both of our kids have become actively involved at the club. Brody will be the Assistant Pool Manager for the 3rd summer, and Payten has worked at both the concession stand and front desk for her 2nd summer. It’s been wonderful to watch them carry on our family's connection to NHSC and make it their own.

Hi, I’m Lauryn, and I am excited to step into the roll of Vice President of North Harford Swim Club! I’ve been involved with the club for several years, including serving as Membership Chair for the past six years. During that time, I’ve enjoyed welcoming new families, supporting our members, and helping keep membership operations running smoothly. I’m passionate about our swim club and the community it brings together, and I look forward to continuing to support our members, strengthen our club, and help make each summer a great one for everyone!
Lindsay Ayres

I am very excited to serve on the NHSC board this year. My husband, Kevin, and I have lived in this area for 10 years and enjoy raising our three children here. We love spending our summer days with all of the friends we have met at the pool over the last few years. In addition to the swim club, I am involved with my children’s scout troops, my daughter’s club soccer team, and the North Bend Elementary PTA. I look forward to seeing you all at the pool this summer!

Nina Martin
HUMAN RESOURCES
My name is Nina Martin, and I am excited to serve on the NHSC Board as the Human Resources Officer. As a longtime resident of Harford County, I am proud to call Street, Maryland, home. I enjoy serving our community as an EL teacher and as an Area Director for an au pair agency. In my free time, I love reading, hiking, baking, and traveling. As a mom of three young children, I especially appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere that makes NHSC such a special place. I look forward to connecting with more club members and helping ensure our staff feel valued, supported, and appreciated as part of the NHSC team. Each year, I eagerly look forward to summer at NHSC, cherishing the memories made over the years while creating new ones with my family and the NHSC community for years to come!

FAMILY EVENTS & ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
In 2021, I moved to Street with my husband, Robbie, and our four kids. I am a passionate lover of all things nature, with a particular fondness for chickens, ducks, and cows. Living with a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, I thrive in the wide-open spaces of the West. As a dedicated homeschool mom, I am committed to providing our children with a personalized and enriching education, all while embracing the joys and challenges of life on our family farm. With a heart for simplicity and a spirit of adventure, I enjoy finding balance between family, nature, and learning. When summer rolls around, you'll find our family poolside, cheering on our kids and the rest of the Neptunes every weekend. I am excited to volunteer as the activities coordinator and hope to help make your summer at NHSC fun and memorable!
Aubrey Tester
PUBLICITY & COMMUNICATIONS
I moved to Harford County in 2017 with my husband Justin and kids, Ruby & Ty, and we quickly made this our home. We became members of NHSC in 2019 and we absolutely loved the fun, family-friendly atmosphere. We can usually be found poolside most summer days, as well as on the sidelines cheering on our kids and the rest of the North Harford Neptunes at meets. If you didn't already know me as a member or swim parent, you might recognize me as the mid-2022 season interim Pool Manager. I hope to provide the NHSC members with accurate and timely communication on pool matters and help make each summer season the best year yet!
Zack Smith
IT Specialist
My name is Zack Smith and I am looking forward to serving in the IT position this upcoming year. My wife, Ashley, and our children, Harper and Hudson, moved to Forest Hill from Massachusetts in 2017. I work for the VA Maryland Healthcare System in Biomedical Engineering, which allows me to bring my technical experience and knowledge into this position. Since moving to Forest Hill, we have become members in the community by coaching numerous sports teams and joined the NHSC in 2023. We enjoy spending time at the pool with family and friends and also watching Harper compete as part of the Neptunes swim team. I look forward to contributing to the NHSC this year!
